STUDENT DISCIPLINE WORKSHOPS

KSB and SASD are hosting Student Discipline Workshops this June designed specifically to get South Dakota administrators ready for the 2026-2027 school year.  There are two options to attend in-person.  The first workshop will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 in Spearfish, SD and the second workshop will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Mitchell, SD.  We’ll cover the ability of schools to implement discipline for off-district conduct, the basic procedures required for long-term discipline, first amendment limitations, and the many special education nuances that frequently accompany discipline questions. Tyler and Sara will also prepare practical hypotheticals that they will work through with the group in real-time.

Date and Location: June 15, 2026 in Spearfish; June 18, 2026 in Mitchell
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
On-Demand Option: Available shortly after the live training on KSB’s portal. Those who attend will continue to have access to the recorded training afterwards, as well.

Cost:  $250 per person

Registration is $250 per person and includes access to the on-demand recording through the KSB Portal.
