Teacher Evaluation & Remediation
This is a topic about which KSB is particularly passionate. Classroom teachers have a huge impact on the students they see every day. Administrators have the capacity to guide that impact and improve the quality of classroom instruction for every teacher in the building.
To improve student achievement, you need to improve instruction, and the only way to ensure that instruction improves is to learn to evaluate teachers honestly and fairly; and to hold them accountable to make the required improvements.
This session will cover the basics of teacher evaluation under Nebraska law which every administrator should know. It will also review what efforts administrators must make to assist a teacher in improving their performance. We will also provide participants with sample remediation plans and a list of resources to share with teachers to assist in their improvement.
Both new and veteran administrators will benefit from this workshop on how to evaluate, remediate, and improve your faculty.
